Daughters Rising, Thailand
Hand Woven Kayan Infinity Scarf - Black/White
Each scarf is meticulously handmade by a Kayan artisan using the traditional back-loom method. Woven in a continuous loop, each scarf adds interest with unique colors and sections of loose, unwoven threads. Can be wrapped around once or twice to suit your style - or it could even be cut in one section with long unwoven threads if you prefer the traditional open ended scarf!
These scarfs are lovingly made by Kayan hill tribe women who have set up life in north Thailand after fleeing Burma due to their country's ongoing conflict. Because of their lack of education, vocational skills and knowledge of local language, this is a group that is considered particularly high risk for sex trafficking.
